Completion of a formal application
Background, reference and driving record checks
An in-person interview
A professional assessment of the volunteer's suitability to work with a child
A volunteer orientation; and
Pre-match training that outlines healthy relationship development, child safety and the individual needs of your child.
Parents are crucial partners in their child's mentor match.
Throughout the time your child is matched, our professional staff will be in regular communication with you, your child and your child's Big. It's the best way to build a strong relationship that will have the greatest impact on your child's future success.
